Nana na na na...

Meri laundry ka ek bill,
ek aadhi padhi novel,
Nana na na na na

Ek Ladki ka phone number,
mere kaam ka ek paper,
Nana na na na,

Mere taash se heart ka king,
mera ek chandi ka ring,
pichhle saat dino mein maine khoya,
kabhi khud pe hasa main,
aur kabhi kuddh pe roya!

Yippeeeeeeeeeee love this song!!

I dont get it..

Why is it such a problem to get up late?
Why is it sooo wrong to do nothing all day?
Why can't I stay up till whatever time i want?
Why can't I listen to music with headphones on all day?
Why can't I watch whatever movie I like?
Why can't I eat whatever I want?

I tell u, these things were made to seem wrong by people who can't do them! Stupid jealous creatures!

...or others also agree that Manmohan Singh is the wussiest prime minister of India, ever? Can he get one thing right - Inflation, Terrorism, Kashmir, Orissa - can he get one thing working?

All that this dude is worried abt his Nuclear deal - what a pathetic swine.

Closing ceremony

I thought the Brits would put on a show signifying shift of venue to London in style. Instead, it was the lamest acceptance of the Olympic flag/torch in history. Apart from the barely audible guitar piece by Jimmy Page it was downright pathetic!

China on the other hand. What a show they put up even on closing. Absolutely stunning !!

Just wondering..

What is the point of that Snoop Dogg version of Singh is Kinng song? Considering the kind of audience that goes to watch Akshay Kumar films..

They know as much about Snoop Dogg as Mallika Sherawat knows about pig farming! On second thought, maybe she does.

Speeding Ticket

So a desi woman in our mailing list is complaining that she got a 250$ speeding ticket coz she was going 55Mph on a 35Mph speeding zone, and she wanted to know how she could contest this unfair charge and get it revoked.

Hello? You clearly knew you were fast on a 35Mph zone, and clearly know that cop caught you because of that, and now you think its unfair that he charged you?!

Wow.

Stadium Arcadium

When this album came out, I listened to it nonstop for a good 4 months. And then it fizzled out as other CDs do in my car and made way for other music.

2 years later now, I replayed this Red Hot Chilli Peppers CD in my car again today - whoa, was I hooked to it all over again!

What an awesome album this is - super!

Funny thing about my shoes. I saw one of them lying around yesterday, upside down. Possibly tumbled over as I walked past it. It reminded me of something. I kept staring at the back of my shoe couldn't really figure out what it reminded me of. And then it suddenly struck me - Ranbir Kapoor!

The songs of this movie are pretty good! Bichchua by Shubha Mudgal is pretty well sung, though a part of me thinks Ila Arun would have rocked the song better! Nonetheless, interesting music this movie has - Using classical singers for mainstream songs - its growing on me!

The comment problem

If you cannot post comments and get errors like "your entry cannot be posted at this time" it can mean only one thing. Your browser hates you !!

This usually happens when you have stayed logged in for too long and there is a stale (login) session.

In such a case, follow these steps:
1. Log out of NSR
2. Close your browser (or clear cache preferably)
3. Fire up your browser again and log in again.

Life would suddenly be wonderful again.

Never in a million years did I think i'll say this...because when I was there, I could not wait to leave...but I want to go back to Milan :(...

I'm sort of losing credibility in my own words, I don't know what I want and I what I don't. When I was in Milan, I absolutely hated it ( except for the last 6 months) and was waiting to come live in Dubai...this new exciting buzzing place! On the contrary...I really really miss my life in Milan. I miss the lifestyle, I miss my friends and I miss the independence. Instead, i've been dumped once again in a place where I dont know anyone and i'm totally dependent on my parents for everything!

Khatron ke khiladi

Akshay tries to be different.. sometimes witty, sometimes plain silly. Participants are thoroughly boring. And the stunts.. well, some are too good but mostly seen before, done there kinds.

But what I really love abt the show is its strictly no nonsense tone. I mean for a reality show, there is absolutely no false dramatisation (which is hall mark of all the so called reality shows otherwise) or melodrama... When its time for somebody to go, Akshay says aap ghar jaayiye.. and other girls bid good bye. No tears shears, bhashan vashan or hajaar break ke baads. Ah, simplicity.. such a bliss.

In Dubai

Im in Dubai finally....chilling at home with mom dad! Few things I had forgotten about:

1. Houses can be spacious and grand looking...not like most of the houses in Italy. Compared to my apartment there..this feels like a palace!

2. Airconditioning is REALLY effective! Even more than u want it to be...i've been walking around the house wearing a sweater cuz i feel cold! And its 53°C outside!

3. Housemaids exist. Or so u're told. I still havent seen mine. By the time I wake up, my room has been broomed and desk has been cleared, and dishes and clothes done, and food is cooked. And i'm yet to actually see the person who does all that...

4. Eating out can be frikking CHEAP!! Yesterday, mom dad and I went out to eat some Arabic food..and the total bill was equivalent of just about 10 euros...TEN frikking euros!!! I pay for than that for me alone in Milan!

Anway...there's a lot more. I'm actually feeling a culture shock all over again! 8 years in Europe changes u after all!

Always wear the seatbelts!

Rules are for a reason.

Friday night, at 1:30 am we met with an accident.

Since 3 nights we've been working till 2 am at an industrial area on the outskirts of the city. And after the blasts, the security has been beefed up, and there's lot of security checks all over.

Since I am the only girl in the audit team, someone from office drops me home. Even when I insist that I can manage, rain or riots, but people around don't really believe me! :P

So on Friday night, my manager was to drop me home, and at about 1:30, a speeding car took a sharp turn and smashed into our car. Timely brakes and his seatbelt saved us from bring seriously injured.

I was not wearing the seatbelt. I don't know what hit me, but there was some swelling on my head..right side.. my knee.. (i think dashboard turned my knee green), my left hand has some pain.. I can't really explain the kind of pain.. and also my right arm.. from shoulders to elbow.. it's paining. I don't know what all hit me.. all I remember is we were shaken up.

1:30 am, not a single soul in site, with rain.. Also, my manager was all the more nervous. I was his responsibility.

I reached home at 2:30.

But, the moral of the whole story is - always wear the seatbelt. Even if you are on the passenger seat. Even if you are sure to reach home in under 10 minutes. Even if you have bags with you.

Voicemail

So my automated voicemail system left ME a voicemail telling me that there 3 voicemails that I have not checked, and if I didn't like the system telling me how many voicemails I have, I could press 3 and delete this message!!!!
